Capstone Project

The world is seeing a change in how we view love, sex, and relationships, but society is still straying from intimacy. I believe it’s because we might not be exactly sure what it is, but I’ve decided to bring light to it and allow my audience to confront it. I want people my age to see intimacy in its sexual nature and create a sense of familiarity, and if they can’t relate to it, then they can think about what it means to others. Seeing black and white graphite strokes on cream sheets is all they need to think. And for me, I’ll reflect too. Throughout my art process I’ll be intimate with my tools and my art; sensually but not sexually. So what is intimacy? It’s up for us to decide.
